Can you use CarShots on RVs?
CarShots is built for cars, trucks and SUVs. A Class A motorhome, a fifth wheel or a travel trailer is a much bigger subject, and the guided shot list follows the angles of a car, so test your own units before you sign up for anything.
Upload a photo of one of your RVs and pick a backdrop. It's free, there's no signup, and the result comes back in about 20 seconds. Try a full side shot and a front three-quarter: if the whole unit is in the frame and the edges look right, you'll know what to expect.
Tow vehicles and trade-ins
If you sell pickups and SUVs as tow vehicles, or take them in on trade, they're a direct fit. Shoot them with the on-screen outlines, keep them all on one backdrop, and turn the photos into a 15-second 360° walkaround video with voiceover and music.

How to photograph an RV for a listing
Big units take more planning than a sedan:
- Give it room. Park the RV where you can back up far enough to fit the whole unit in a side shot, with nothing parked against it.
- Pick a rule for slide-outs. Shoot every unit the same way, slides in or out, so your listings match.
- Shoot both sides and both ends. Buyers want the door side and the off-door side, the front and rear three-quarters, the hitch or pin box on a towable, and the cab on a motorhome.
- Walk the floor plan. Open the blinds, turn on every light, and shoot the living area, kitchen, bedroom and bath from the doorway of each.
- Mind the big flat sides. Large painted and fiberglass walls show glare and reflections, and open shade or an overcast day keeps them even.
Free tools for RV dealers
These free tools need no signup:
- RV VIN decoder: what each character of an RV's VIN means, with NHTSA data where it's available.
- Trailer VIN decoder: how a trailer VIN is laid out, for travel trailers, fifth wheels and toy haulers.
- RV bill of sale and trailer bill of sale: for when you buy a unit from a private seller.
What you get with CarShots
- Shooting on any phone, in the browser or the CarShots iOS app, with on-screen outlines and no booth or lighting kit.
- A clean backdrop on every photo in about 20 seconds, from 20 studio, showroom, outdoor and scenic choices.
- Edits in plain words, like "hide the license plate".
- A 15-second 360° walkaround video made from the photos, but no interactive spins or tours.
- A CSV or XML inventory feed, or SFTP upload, for your website or DMS, but no API or direct integration. You can also save each photo or the whole set as a zip.
What does it cost?
$50 a month covers 333 photos, about 15¢ each. Big units take more shots, so add 67 photos for $10 whenever you run low. It's month to month; cancel anytime.
The free test photo comes first, then a 7-day trial with 20 photos and a 360° video (a card is required). See pricing.
