Lincoln window sticker lookup by VIN

Lincoln window stickers come from Ford Direct, which only has them while a vehicle is new. Enter the VIN: a brand-new Lincoln gets the Ford Direct link, an older one gets the steps to order a replacement, and any Lincoln gets a free spec sheet.

It's on the dashboard, readable through the windshield on the driver's side, and on the label in the driver's door opening. The title, registration and insurance card show it too.

How to look up a Lincoln window sticker

Enter the VIN in the box above and the tool sorts out the route:

  1. It checks the 17 characters, including the check digit, and rejects an I, O or Q.
  2. It decodes the VIN with NHTSA's vPIC data, so you can confirm the model, year and trim.
  3. If the Lincoln is from the current or next model year, it shows View the Lincoln window sticker on Ford Direct, which opens in a new tab.
  4. If it's older, it shows how to order a replacement sticker instead.
  5. Either way, the free spec sheet sits below, ready to print.

Where to get a Lincoln window sticker

Lincoln's support pages describe the same routes as Ford's, since Ford Direct and Ford Show Parts serve both brands:

  • Being built or just delivered: use the Ford Direct link, which covers vehicles being assembled or up to a few weeks after delivery. The lookup above builds it for you.
  • New on a Lincoln dealer's lot: on the Lincoln Showroom website, pick the model, enter your zip code if asked, choose Search Inventory, open Vehicle Details and select Window sticker.
  • Just delivered to you: Lincoln says a complimentary physical copy of the window sticker comes with your new vehicle at delivery.
  • Already owned: buy a replacement from the Ford Show Parts website or at 1-800-367-3788. Lincoln's support page lists 2007 to current model years.
  • Older than 2007: ask a Lincoln dealer whether they can help.

Why does the Lincoln sticker say it hasn't been released?

Ford Direct shows one placeholder for any VIN it doesn't have: "Please check back later. The window sticker has not yet been released for this vehicle." On a Lincoln that's already on the road, the message doesn't mean the sticker is on its way. It means Ford Direct doesn't have it.

When we tested Ford Direct on October 20, 2026, every VIN we tried got that page, from a 2016 model to 2025 and 2026 vehicles sitting in dealer stock. So for most Lincolns, the useful steps are the replacement order and the spec sheet.

Lincoln models and what their stickers show

NHTSA's model lists show how much the lineup has changed. For 2018 they include the Continental, MKC, MKT, MKX, MKZ, Navigator and Navigator L; for 2025, the Aviator, Corsair, Nautilus, Navigator and Navigator L. Any of those VINs works in the lookup, since the age of the vehicle decides the route, not the model.

Lincoln's support page lists what a window sticker shows: the MSRP, model information such as engine and transmission, color and year, standard and optional equipment, pricing, EPA city and highway fuel economy, and NHTSA crash test ratings. On a luxury vehicle, the optional equipment is the part worth reading, since packages can account for a big share of the price.

The EPA box depends on the powertrain. A plug-in hybrid such as the Corsair Grand Touring gets EPA's plug-in label, with MPGe on electricity and MPG on gas. A hybrid that doesn't plug in, like the older MKZ Hybrid, gets the regular gasoline label.

Where to find the VIN on a Lincoln

Look through the windshield at the lower driver's side corner, where federal rules require the VIN to be readable from outside. Open the driver's door and you'll find it again on the certification label, along with the month and year the vehicle was built. It's also on the registration, title and insurance card.

Selling a used Lincoln with its window sticker

Used luxury buyers want to know exactly what they're paying for. Ford Direct won't have the original for a trade-in, so for a well-equipped Navigator or Aviator it can be worth ordering a replacement from Ford Show Parts and keeping it with the vehicle. For the rest, print the spec sheet for the deal jacket.

Display the FTC Buyers Guide on every used Lincoln you offer. Your own price sticker, with a QR code to the car's listing, can come from the free window sticker maker. The same routes apply to the Ford units on your lot.

For listing photos that look like a showroom, CarShots offers 20 curated backdrops, from studio and showroom to outdoor and scenic. Pick one and use it on every car so your listings match.
