How to get an original Audi window sticker
Audi has no public page that returns a sticker by VIN, so the original comes from the car's paperwork or a dealer.
Check the folder from the first sale
The label may be with the sales contract or in the glove box.
Ask an Audi dealer
Give the VIN to the sales or service desk and ask for a copy of the original window sticker.
Contact Audi
If a dealer can't produce it, Audi's customer service is the next call.
Print the spec sheet
Enter the VIN above for the build, EPA figures, crash ratings and recalls.
Audi model names have changed: what that means for a VIN
Audi's lineup moves fast, which matters when a VIN has to be matched to EPA's data. In NHTSA's vPIC, the A4 and A7 appear through the 2025 model year, while the 2026 list runs A3, A5, A6, A6 allroad, A8 L, Q3, Q4, Q5, Q6, Q7 and Q8, plus S and RS versions. EPA's data lists the Q6 e-tron for the 2025 and 2027 model years but has no 2026 row, so the spec sheet can show Q6 range only for the years EPA has rated.
Audi e-tron range on the window sticker
| Audi EV | EPA range |
|---|---|
| 2026 Q4 45 e-tron, rear-wheel drive | 288 miles |
| 2026 Q4 55 e-tron quattro | 251 miles |
| 2025 Q6 e-tron, rear-wheel drive | 310 miles on 19-inch wheels, 298 on 20-inch |
| 2025 Q6 e-tron quattro | 307 miles on 19-inch wheels, 295 on 20-inch |
| 2027 Q6 e-tron quattro | 325 miles on 19-inch tires, 301 on 20-inch |
| 2026 S e-tron GT | 300 miles on 20-inch wheels, 294 on 21-inch |
| 2026 RS e-tron GT Performance | 278 miles |

Why EPA lists some Audis as hybrids
EPA's 2026 data marks several Audis as hybrids: the A8 and S8, the A6 allroad, the 3.0-liter Q7 and Q8, the RS 6 Avant, the RS 7 and the RS Q8 Performance. EPA's engine notes call them mild hybrids. None of them plug in, so their window sticker uses the gasoline label, with mpg and an annual fuel cost.
Other 2026 combined ratings: A3 28 mpg, A5 26, Q5 24, A6 sedan 23, Q7 22 with the 2.0-liter and 20 with the 3.0-liter, Q8 19, and 16 for the RS 6 Avant, RS 7 and RS Q8 Performance. All are AWD, and all are rated on premium fuel except the Q3, which EPA lists on regular at 25 mpg.
Where is the VIN on an Audi?
Through the windshield at the lower driver's side corner, and on the certification label on the driver's door jamb, which also gives the build month and year. Per vPIC, Audi AG uses WAU (cars) and WA1 (SUVs) in Germany and TRU for cars from Hungary, while Audi Sport GmbH uses WUA (cars) and WU1 (SUVs). The Audi VIN decoder explains the rest.
Audi is part of the Volkswagen Group, so the tool checks the decoded make and sends a Volkswagen or Porsche VIN to the Volkswagen or Porsche page.
Audi crash ratings on the window sticker
For 2025, NHTSA rated the A4, Q5, Q7 and the AWD Q4 e-tron at 5 stars overall. The rear-drive Q4 e-tron has frontal and side ratings but no overall score, so the drive type in your decode decides which rating applies. The spec sheet shows NHTSA's ratings for the model your VIN decodes to.
Pricing a used Audi?
Two used Q5s can look the same in photos and still differ in factory options, and only the original sticker lists them. Ask an Audi dealer for a copy before you price the car. Then the free window sticker maker prints your own window sheet with the decoded features, price and mileage. The FTC Buyers Guide is still required on the window.
CarShots gives every Audi on your lot the same clean backdrop, about 20 seconds a photo, shot on your phone with no booth or lighting kit.
