How to get a Porsche window sticker by VIN
On a Porsche, the window sticker is the record of every factory option and its price. We found no public Porsche page that returns the label by VIN, so getting a Porsche window sticker by VIN means asking a Porsche dealer to print the original or finding it in the car's paperwork. If no dealer can help, contact Porsche's customer service with the VIN.
The tool above handles the public side for free: the vPIC decode, EPA fuel economy or range, NHTSA's rating status and the recalls NHTSA lists for that model and year. Options and their prices stay on the original label.
Why Porsche stickers show no NHTSA star ratings
NHTSA doesn't crash-test every model. Its 2025 list includes the 992.2 911 Carrera, the E3.2 Cayenne, the H2 Macan and the J1.2 Taycan, and all four are Not Rated in every category. The sticker law covers that case: when a car hasn't been tested, or has no rating in one or more categories, the label must say so.
Those names also show how NHTSA files Porsches, by generation code plus model. NHTSA uses 982 for the 718 and G3 for the Panamera as well. The spec sheet looks up NHTSA's listing for the decoded model, and with names this different, it shows a rating only when the match is clear.
Porsche fuel economy and range on the window sticker
| 2026 Porsche | EPA rating |
|---|---|
| 911 Carrera | 21 mpg combined |
| 911 GT3 | 15 mpg |
| 911 Turbo S | 18 mpg |
| Cayenne | 19 mpg |
| Macan, gas | 21 mpg |
| Macan Electric | 309 miles, 332 on 20-inch wheels |
| Macan 4 Electric | 304 miles, 324 on 20-inch wheels |
| Taycan 4S Performance Battery Plus | 295 miles, 315 on 19-inch all-season tires |
| Taycan Turbo S | 266 miles |
EPA rates every gas Porsche on premium fuel. Wheels and tires change the electric numbers, which is why the spec sheet shows range only on a confident match. Source: EPA data on fueleconomy.gov.
What does a Porsche E-Hybrid window sticker show?
The plug-in Cayenne and Panamera E-Hybrids carry EPA's two-box plug-in label: an electric box with MPGe and electric range, and a gas box with mpg. EPA's 2025 ratings:
- Cayenne E-Hybrid: 29 miles on electricity, 53 MPGe
- Cayenne S E-Hybrid: 27 miles
- Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid: 24 miles
- Panamera 4 and 4S E-Hybrid: 28 miles
All of them are rated at 21 to 22 mpg on gas. These are 2025 figures because EPA's data has no 2026 E-Hybrid listing.
Where is the VIN on a Porsche?
Read it through the windshield on the driver's side or from the certification label on the driver's door jamb, which also gives the month and year of manufacture. Per vPIC, Porsche AG uses just two codes, both registered in Germany: WP0 for cars and WP1 for SUVs. The Porsche VIN decoder breaks down the other 14 characters.
For an imported car, the law defines the final assembly point on the sticker as the port of importation. The tool also checks the decoded make, so an Audi or Volkswagen VIN gets a link to the Audi or Volkswagen page.
Selling a used Porsche?
Options move used Porsche prices, so buyers ask for the window sticker. Get a copy from a Porsche dealer before you list the car, and photograph it for the listing. For the car's own window, the free window sticker maker prints a used-car sheet with the decoded features, your price, mileage and stock number. The FTC Buyers Guide is required there too.
