How to find a Dodge window sticker by VIN
Enter the VIN in the box above. The Dodge window sticker comes from Stellantis, Dodge's parent company, which keeps original stickers online for most recent models. Here's what the tool does with your VIN:
- Checks it for length, banned letters (I, O and Q) and the check digit.
- Decodes it with NHTSA's vPIC data, so you can confirm the year, model and trim.
- Gives you a View the original Dodge window sticker button that opens Stellantis's PDF in a new tab.
- Builds a free spec sheet underneath, in case the original isn't on file.
Why the original sticker matters on a Challenger or Charger
On Dodge performance cars, options can move the price a lot. The same model name covers very different cars depending on the trim, the engine and the packages, and limited editions add another layer. A VIN decode tells you the model year, engine and plant. Only the window sticker lists every factory option and package with its price, which is what a buyer or an appraiser wants to see before agreeing on a number.
For collectors, the original sticker is part of the car's paperwork too. A clean copy straight from Stellantis beats a photocopy of a photocopy.
Which Dodge models can you look up?
Any Dodge VIN works in the tool. NHTSA's model lists show what that covers in the two model years Stellantis had on file in our test:
- 2018: Challenger, Charger, Durango, Grand Caravan and Journey.
- 2025: Charger, Durango and Hornet.
We tested 2018 and 2025 VINs on October 20, 2026; a 2015 VIN wasn't on file. So for an older Dodge, such as a Viper or an early-2010s Grand Caravan, the lookup may come back empty and the spec sheet steps in. NHTSA also lists the Ram pickup under Dodge for model years like 2009 and 2010, so an old Dodge Ram VIN lands here; the Ram page covers the newer trucks.
If the Dodge is electric or a plug-in hybrid, its EPA box is the electric version, rated in MPGe rather than plain MPG.
Where's the VIN on a Dodge?
Look through the windshield at the driver's side corner of the dash: federal rules require the VIN to be readable from outside there on every car, SUV and minivan. Then open the driver's door. The certification label on the door edge or pillar repeats the VIN and adds the build month and year, which helps when a car built late in one calendar year is sold as the next model year.
The registration, title and insurance cards carry it too. To see what each character means on a Dodge, use the free Dodge VIN decoder.
Dodge sticker not on file? Next steps
If Stellantis can't find the VIN, its page says it's "unable to retrieve a window sticker for this VIN at this time." That means the sticker isn't online for that VIN. Try this instead:
- Compare the VIN on the car with the one you typed.
- Read the free spec sheet for engine, drive, EPA ratings, crash scores and recalls.
- Check the glove box and the original purchase folder.
- Call a Dodge dealer; it may be able to reprint the original from the VIN.
- Tap Didn't work? so we can log the model year.
Using the original sticker to sell a used Dodge
Price the car from facts. Before you put a number on a used Charger or Durango, pull its sticker and check the packages against the car: a missing option matters as much as a rare one. Use the exact package names in your listing, and keep a printout in the deal jacket for the buyer who asks.
The used Dodge still needs its FTC Buyers Guide displayed, and your price goes on your own sticker. The free dealer window sticker maker prints one with a QR code to the car's listing.
Then give the photos the same care. CarShots turns the phone photos you take on the lot into clean backdrop shots, about 20 seconds each, and can build a 15-second walkaround video with voiceover from them.
