How do I get an original Genesis window sticker?
Start with what came with the car: the label may be with the purchase contract or in the glove box. If it's gone, ask a Genesis dealer to print a copy of the original window sticker from the VIN, or contact Genesis customer service with the VIN.
This page can't pull the original label itself. What it builds, free, is a spec sheet from public data: the vPIC decode, EPA fuel economy or range, NHTSA's 5-Star Safety Ratings and the recalls NHTSA lists for that model and year. Prices, packages and the dealer the car first went to are only on the original.

Why the Genesis spec sheet sometimes leaves mpg blank
EPA often lists one Genesis model several ways. For 2026, the GV70 2.5-liter appears twice, labeled 4 Mode (23 mpg combined) and 5 Mode (22 mpg), and the GV80 has separate rear-drive, AWD and mild hybrid rows. A VIN decode gives the model, engine and drive, but not always enough to pick one row. So the spec sheet shows mpg or range only when the match is certain and leaves the line blank otherwise. The original label always carries the exact figure.
Where is the VIN on a Genesis, and why does it look like a Hyundai's?
The VIN is on a plate you can read through the windshield on the driver's side and on the certification label in the driver's door jamb. Genesis is Hyundai's luxury brand, and per vPIC its vehicles are registered by Hyundai Motor Co.: KMT is the Genesis-only code for cars, while KMH (cars), KMU (SUVs) and 5NM (Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama) are listed for both Hyundai and Genesis. Hyundai shares several codes with Kia as well, including 5XY and 7YA.
Because of that overlap, the tool checks the make the VIN decodes to. The Genesis sedan that was sold as a Hyundai before Genesis became its own make decodes as a Hyundai, and the tool will offer the Hyundai window sticker page. For a position-by-position breakdown, run the VIN through the VIN decoder.
Genesis crash ratings on the sticker
For 2025, NHTSA gave the G80 5 stars in every category. The GV60, GV70 and GV80 earned 5 stars overall, with 4 stars frontal and 5 side; rollover was 5 stars for the GV60 and 4 for the GV70 and GV80. The spec sheet shows NHTSA's ratings for your VIN's model, alongside the recalls on file for that model and year.
Selling a pre-owned Genesis?
Genesis shoppers compare trims and packages, and the original sticker is the cleanest record of both. If you can't get it, list the decoded trim, drive and EPA rating instead. The free window sticker maker puts them on a window sheet with your price, mileage and a QR code to the listing. The FTC Buyers Guide goes on the window of every used car you offer.
From the same phone photos you take for the listing, CarShots makes a 15-second 360° walkaround video with voiceover and music.
