Lexus window sticker lookup by VIN

A Lexus window sticker reprint comes from a Lexus or Toyota dealer, because Toyota keeps the originals in its dealer system with no public link. Paste a VIN below for a free spec sheet: decoded build, EPA ratings, NHTSA stars and recalls.

It's on the dashboard, readable through the windshield on the driver's side, and on the label in the driver's door opening. The title, registration and insurance card show it too.

Is there a Lexus window sticker lookup?

Not one you can use from home. Lexus is Toyota's luxury brand, and Toyota keeps window stickers for both in its dealer system, with no public URL. A Lexus dealer can print the original Lexus window sticker from the VIN, and a Toyota dealer can as well.

This page gives you the next best thing in seconds: a free spec sheet for any Lexus VIN, with the factory build, EPA ratings, NHTSA crash ratings and recalls. It can't recreate the price side of the label: the base MSRP, each package and option with its price, and the destination charge.

How to get the original Lexus window sticker

  1. Look through the delivery folder

Lexus buyers often get the label back at delivery. Check the glove box, the owner's manual case and the sales paperwork.

  2. Call a Lexus dealer with the VIN

Ask the sales or service desk for a reprint of the original window sticker. If a Toyota store is closer, ask there: the stickers sit in the same Toyota dealer system.

  3. Buying used? Ask the seller

A private seller, or the dealer who took the car in on trade, may still have the label in the deal file.

  4. Use the free spec sheet meanwhile

Enter the VIN above for a printable page with the decoded build, EPA figures, crash ratings and recalls.

How to read Lexus model names on the sticker

The badge tells you which EPA label the car got. A plain number, as in RX 350 or TX 350, means gas. An h means hybrid (NX 350h, RX 350h, LX 700h). An e means electric on current models (RZ 450e, ES 350e). A plus sign, as in NX 450h+, marks a plug-in hybrid.

  • Gas and hybrid: city, highway and combined mpg. EPA labels a hybrid that doesn't plug in as a gasoline vehicle.
  • Plug-in hybrid: an electric box in MPGe with the electric range, and a gas box in mpg. EPA rates the 2025 NX 450h+ and RX 450h+ for 37 miles on electricity.
  • Electric: range, MPGe, kWh per 100 miles and the 240-volt charge time. The 2026 RZ 350e is rated at 301 miles on 18-inch wheels and 284 on 20-inch wheels.

Lexus crash ratings: why drive type matters

Each new Lexus label carries NHTSA's star ratings or a statement that the vehicle hasn't been rated. For 2025, NHTSA rated the RX 350 AWD at 5 stars overall but the front-drive RX 350 at 4. The ES 350 and TX 350 earned 5 stars overall. The NX 350 AWD has frontal (4 stars) and side (5 stars) ratings but no overall score. On the Acura MDX, it's the AWD version that has no overall score, while the front-drive MDX has 5 stars. When you compare ratings, check that the drive type in the decode matches the version you're looking at.

Where is the VIN on a Lexus?

Look through the windshield at the driver's side of the dashboard, or open the driver's door and read the certification label on the jamb. The first three characters hint at the plant. Per vPIC, JTH (cars) and JTJ (SUVs) come from Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan, 2T2 from Toyota's Canadian plant, 58A from Toyota's Kentucky plant and 5TD from Indiana. The Lexus VIN decoder explains the rest of the characters.

Lexus and Toyota share plants and codes, so the tool checks the decoded make. A Toyota VIN pasted here gets a link to the Toyota window sticker page.

Pricing a used Lexus for your lot

On a Lexus, packages move the price, and the original sticker is the cleanest proof of how the car left the factory. If you can't get it, print a used-car window sheet with the free window sticker maker: VIN-decoded features, your price and mileage, and a QR code to the car's page on your site. The FTC Buyers Guide belongs on the window of every used car you sell.

Online, shoppers meet a Lexus through its photos before they see it in person. CarShots puts your phone photos on one of 20 clean backdrops in about 20 seconds a shot, so every car on your lot matches.

Common questions

Can a Toyota dealer print a Lexus window sticker?

Usually. Toyota keeps window stickers for both brands in its dealer system, so a Lexus dealer is the first call and a Toyota dealer is a good second.

Is the Lexus window sticker the same as a build sheet?

No. The window sticker is the federal label on the glass, with price, equipment, fuel economy and crash ratings. A build sheet is a factory production document.

Why is my Lexus hybrid rated on premium fuel?

EPA lists most 2026 Lexus models, hybrids included, on premium fuel, so the label's annual fuel cost uses premium prices. The UX 300h is the exception, on regular.

Does the free spec sheet show Lexus options?

It shows what the VIN decode reports: model, trim, engine, drive and plant. Packages and their prices are only on the original window sticker.

How do I check whether a Lexus recall is still open?

The spec sheet lists the recalls NHTSA has on file for the model and year. To see whether one is still open on your car, enter the VIN at NHTSA's recall lookup.
