How to look up a Cadillac window sticker
Type the VIN into the box above. The Cadillac window sticker comes from GM, which posts originals for recent model years. Here's what the tool does:
- Checks the VIN's length and check digit, and flags an I, O or Q.
- Decodes it with NHTSA's vPIC data: model, year, trim, body, engine, drive type and plant.
- Shows View the original Cadillac window sticker, which opens GM's PDF in a new tab.
- Builds a free, printable spec sheet with EPA fuel economy, NHTSA ratings and recalls.
For a 2022 or older Cadillac, steps 3 and 4 swap places: the spec sheet comes first and the GM link follows as Try GM anyway.
Why the option list matters on a Cadillac
On a luxury car, options are a big share of the price, and they're easy to misremember years later. The window sticker lists every factory package and stand-alone option with its suggested price: seating and audio upgrades, wheels, paint, and driver assistance such as GM's Super Cruise where the car has it. It also shows the base price, the destination charge and the total.
That's why a buyer looking at a used Escalade wants the original. It shows which packages were installed at the factory, as opposed to added later or simply claimed in a listing.
Lyriq and Optiq stickers: the electric label
Cadillac's electric models carry EPA's electric vehicle label instead of the gasoline one. In place of MPG, it shows efficiency in MPGe, energy use in kWh per 100 miles, the driving range on a full charge and the time to charge at 240 volts.
NHTSA lists the Lyriq, Optiq, Escalade IQ and Celestiq among Cadillac's 2025 models, alongside the CT4, CT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, XT4, XT5 and XT6. Any of those VINs goes to the same GM sticker service.
Which Cadillac model years are online?
Recent ones. We tested GM's sticker service with real VINs on October 20, 2026: the 2025 VINs came back with full stickers, and the 2017, 2020 and 2022 VINs came back empty. The test VINs were Chevrolets, but Cadillac stickers come from the same GM service, so expect the same pattern until a Cadillac re-test says otherwise.
The 2018 lineup looked different: ATS, CTS, CT6, XTS, XT5, Escalade and Escalade ESV. A 2018 Cadillac sits between two model years GM didn't have, so it's unlikely to be on file. The 10th character of the VIN gives the year: J means 2018, N means 2022 and S means 2025.
Where to find a Cadillac's VIN
Look through the windshield at the bottom corner on the driver's side. Federal rules require the VIN to be readable there from outside. Then open the driver's door: the certification label on the door edge or the pillar shows the VIN again, with the month and year of manufacture.
The registration, title and insurance card list it too. The free Cadillac VIN decoder breaks down what each character means.
If GM doesn't have your Cadillac's sticker
You'll know because GM's tab opens blank, or your browser says the PDF couldn't load. Next steps:
- Check the VIN once more against the windshield plate.
- Use the spec sheet for the factory specs, fuel economy, safety ratings and recalls.
- Ask a Cadillac dealer whether they can print the original from the VIN.
- Look through the car's records. Original stickers often stay in the owner's folder.
- Tap Didn't work? We use those reports to track which Cadillac years GM has.
Selling a pre-owned Cadillac with its original sticker
Luxury shoppers expect paperwork. Pull the sticker on every recent Cadillac you take in, confirm the packages against the car, and quote the factory names in your listing. A printed copy with the deal paperwork answers most equipment questions before they're asked.
The FTC Buyers Guide still has to be displayed on each used Cadillac. Your own price sticker can come from the free window sticker maker. The same GM lookup covers the Chevrolet and GMC trade-ins on your lot.
For photos that match a luxury price, CarShots puts each car on one of 20 curated backdrops, studio and showroom included. If you want a branded or showroom background of your own, email CarShots.
