Open the car and tap Shoot this car. The camera opens full screen and shows an outline for each angle, so you know where to stand. It takes about two minutes, and any photo works, even on a busy lot.
The angles
- Outside: front angle, driver side, rear angle, rear, passenger rear, passenger side, passenger front and front.
- Inside: dashboard, driver seat, back seats and trunk.
- Details: a front wheel and the odometer.
You don't have to shoot every angle. Skip any you don't need.
Tips for the best results
- Get the whole car in the frame, with a little space around it.
- Hold the phone at about door-handle height for the side shots.
- Shoot in daylight when you can, for the cleanest paint and glass. Overcast days are great.
- A clean car looks better: the backdrop is new, but dirt and scratches stay.
- For the interior, open the doors wide and shoot from the back seat for the dashboard.
No camera?
If your browser can't open the camera, CarShots falls back to your phone's own camera app, one angle at a time. You can also tap Upload photos to use photos you already took. See camera problems if the camera won't start.
