Start with Momentum support
iPacket's public Momentum guide doesn't walk through menus. It sends stores to Momentum's support team, at [email protected], to set up its templates, and it points to Momentum's snippet feature for adding links to templates a store already uses. Take the same route for a Car Page link: Momentum support, or your store's Momentum administrator, knows how your account handles templates and merge fields.
What to send Momentum support
Your template link is carshots.ai/c/d/, then your dealer key, then a slash and the vehicle's VIN. That last part has to be Momentum's own merge field, so one template works for every car, and no public guide we found names it. Send support something like this:
- The link with your dealer key, copied from Car Pages Pro in CarShots.
- The question: which merge field holds the VIN of the customer's vehicle?
- The templates that should carry it: your first reply to a new lead, and any follow-up that names a car.
- Whether they can add it as a snippet, so salespeople can drop it into any message.
Ask them to send a test to your own address, so you can check that the link opens the right car.
https://carshots.ai/c/d/{your dealer key}/[your CRM's VIN merge field]
- For example
- https://carshots.ai/c/d/k7m2qx/[your CRM's VIN merge field]
- The VIN merge field
- Pick the field that holds the vehicle's VIN from Momentum's list of merge fields. No public guide we found spells it out, so we don't guess it here.
- Good to know
- The guide says Momentum's support team ([email protected]) sets up partner templates for a store, and Momentum's snippet feature adds links to existing templates. Ask them which field holds the vehicle's VIN.
This is a link you paste into your own templates, not a certified Momentum integration, and Momentum doesn't endorse it. Car Pages Pro shows your link with your dealer key filled in. Send a test to yourself before your team uses it.
Get Car Page questions into Momentum
Leads travel the other way by email. Car Pages Pro writes each question a shopper sends from a Car Page in ADF/XML, the lead format dealer CRMs read, and emails it to the address you set. In the same email to Momentum support, ask for your store's ADF lead address and for the source to be labeled CarShots. Then enter the address in your Car Pages Pro settings. The lead arrives with the shopper's details, their message and the car.

Momentum keeps the customer and the conversation. CarShots keeps the page: views of each car's Car Page, with link scanners left out, and on Car Pages Pro, who's looking. Template links count toward a car's views without a shopper's name, since every customer gets the same link for that car. Personal links shared from CarShots name the shopper, and Pro shows their visits with a hot score and alerts you by email or text when they come back.
Is Car Pages a Momentum partner?
No. Car Pages isn't a certified Momentum integration, Momentum hasn't endorsed it, and there's no API or data sync between the two. It works through a link in your templates and lead emails, which is why it needs Momentum's help with the field and nothing else. Car Pages Pro is $149 a month per rooftop, with no free trial; pricing has the details, Car Pages shows what each page holds, and the iPacket comparison helps if you're switching.
