Add the link to a ProMax email template
iPacket's public ProMax guide gives the path, and it works the same way for a Car Page link:
Open the template library
From your ProMax CRM dashboard, open the Communications menu and choose Download Templates.
Pick a template
Open one your team already sends, or start a new one.
Switch to the HTML editor
Add a link or button there pointing to carshots.ai/c/d/, your dealer key, a slash, and ProMax's VIN field, which the guide writes as VIN in angle brackets.
Save it where salespeople look
Give it a plain name, such as Car Page for this car, and file it in the template folder your team uses.
https://carshots.ai/c/d/{your dealer key}/<VIN>
- For example
- https://carshots.ai/c/d/k7m2qx/<VIN>
- The VIN merge field
<VIN>, as iPacket Help Center: How to set up your ProMax integration writes it. Pick it from ProMax's own list of merge fields if yours looks different.- A subject line that names the car
<DESIRED_VEH_YEAR> <DESIRED_VEH_MAKE> <DESIRED_VEH_MODEL> at <Dealership>, from the same guide.- Where templates live
- Communications, then Download Templates; open a template or start a new one, and paste into its HTML editor, per iPacket Help Center: How to set up your ProMax integration.
This is a link you paste into your own templates, not a certified ProMax integration, and ProMax doesn't endorse it. Car Pages Pro shows your link with your dealer key filled in. Send a test to yourself before your team uses it.
Name the car in the subject line
A subject line that names the car tells the shopper which car the email is about before they open it. The same guide builds its subject from ProMax's desired vehicle fields, the year, make and model, followed by your dealership's name, so a shopper sees something like 2021 Toyota RAV4 at Your Dealership. The exact fields are in the box below, next to your link.
ProMax fills in the VIN when the email goes out, so check that the customer's record has the right car on it before you send. A wrong car on the record means a link to the wrong Car Page.
Route Car Page leads into ProMax
Car Pages Pro sends each question from a Car Page as an ADF/XML email, the lead format dealer CRMs read, to the address you choose. Ask your ProMax administrator or ProMax support for your store's ADF lead address, enter it in CarShots in your Car Pages Pro settings, and ask them to name the source CarShots. Then send a test question from one of your own Car Pages and find it in ProMax.

</adf>Test it, then track it
Before the whole team uses the template, email it to a test customer with your own address and a car you've shot in CarShots. Open the link on your phone, check that the photos and the price belong to the right car, and send a question from the page to see the lead arrive.
After that, each car's views in CarShots include visits from the template link, without a shopper's name, because every customer gets the same link for that car. On Car Pages Pro, personal links you share from CarShots show who's looking, with a hot score, and send live alerts by email and text when that shopper comes back.
What this setup isn't
It isn't a certified ProMax integration, and ProMax hasn't reviewed or endorsed it. There's no API, no sync and no DMS connection: just a link in your templates and lead emails. The VIN and subject fields come from iPacket's public guide; if your ProMax account shows them differently, go with your account. For more, see Car Pages, our comparison with iPacket, and pricing for Car Pages Pro at $149 a month per rooftop.
