Prices checked November 2, 2026, per seat in each company's own currency, before tax. "Secondhand" means a software listing site reports the price, not the company. Five-salesperson costs multiply the per-seat price by five; companies that quote team plans may charge differently.

Built for car dealers

CarShots Video messages. Free forever for 1 salesperson with unlimited videos; $19 a month for the whole store. Record in the browser (up to 2 minutes) or upload, put the video on a page for one shopper or on top of the car's Car Page, and text it from your own phone or email it with a moving preview. Captions the shopper can switch to their language, watch alerts, and CRM leads as ADF/XML on Car Pages Pro. How it works.

Covideo. Covideo is the best known video tool in car sales, sold on a quote with integrations into the big dealer CRMs. Price: About $69 a month, or about $49 a month paid yearly ($588 a year), as software listing sites report it (secondhand). Good fit if you want to record and send from inside VinSolutions, DealerSocket, CDK or Elead, and you run a large group that buys on a demo. CarShots vs Covideo.

CitNOW. CitNOW is the big personal video name with franchise dealers in the UK and Europe, for sales and the workshop, sold without a public price. Price: About US$500 a month flat to start, per a software listing site (secondhand). Good fit if you are a franchise dealer whose brand or group already runs on CitNOW, or you want workshop video for service. CarShots vs CitNOW.

TruVideo. TruVideo sells video, messaging and payments for dealer service departments, embedded in dealer software and sold on a demo. Price: No prices published; its pricing page goes to "Book a demo". Good fit if your main need is service video with estimates and payments, inside your DMS or service software. CarShots vs TruVideo.

TradePending Video. TradePending bought Snapcell, a dealer video platform, in 2023, and TradePending now goes by Protomiq. Price: No prices published; a form with your phone number gives starting prices, or request a demo. Good fit if you want video bundled with trade-in, payment and vehicle brochure tools from one vendor, bought on a demo. CarShots vs TradePending Video.

VentaVid. A self-serve video tool aimed at car sales in Europe. €69 a month for one user and 30 videos, €99 for 4 users, €149 for 8 users with unlimited videos. Pricing.

General video tools salespeople use

BombBomb. BombBomb is a video email tool sold per user, used most by real estate agents. Price: Core: $36 a user a month paid yearly, $42 monthly. Core + Copilot (AI): $56 yearly, $70 monthly. Enterprise: custom. Good fit if you want a general video email tool with its own AI add-on, and you sell more than cars. CarShots vs BombBomb.

Vidyard. Vidyard is a video tool for B2B sales teams, with a free plan and a paid Starter plan per seat. Price: Free; Starter $59 a seat a month paid yearly, $89 monthly; Teams and Enterprise custom. Good fit if you sell to businesses, record long screen walkthroughs, or want AI avatar videos. CarShots vs Vidyard.

Loom. Loom is a screen and camera recorder for work, with a free Starter plan and Business plans per user. Price: Starter free; Business $18 a user a month; Business + AI $24; Enterprise by quote. Good fit if you mostly record your screen for coworkers, or want team spaces and AI meeting notes. CarShots vs Loom.

How to choose

  • Count your salespeople. Per-seat pricing adds up: five seats on a per-seat tool can cost many times a flat store price.
  • Ask how you buy. A demo and a yearly contract, or sign up today and cancel anytime?
  • Check where the video lands. A video alone, or the car's photos, price and window sticker under it?
  • Test on the lot. Record at the back row on one bar of signal. If the upload fails there, salespeople will stop.
  • Look at texting. Texting from your own phone avoids business texting registration; a business number may need it.
