Make an OpLogic template with the Car Page link
iPacket's public OpLogic guide sets up its email template in a few steps, and a Car Page template follows the same path:
Open template management
Go to the template section in OpLogic and choose New Template or Add Template.
Name it for your agents
Pick a name salespeople and BDC agents will recognize at a glance, such as Car Page for this vehicle.
Name the car in the subject
The guide's subject line uses OpLogic's year, make and model fields and your dealer name; it's in the box below.
Choose Source, then paste
Choose the Source button before you paste into the email body, so the link goes in as a link. Point it to carshots.ai/c/d/, your dealer key, a slash and <-VIN->.
Save it
Save the template where your team picks templates for leads.
https://carshots.ai/c/d/{your dealer key}/<-VIN->
- For example
- https://carshots.ai/c/d/k7m2qx/<-VIN->
- The VIN merge field
<-VIN->, as iPacket Help Center: How to set up your OpLogic integration writes it. Pick it from OpLogic's own list of merge fields if yours looks different.- A subject line that names the car
<-YEAR-> <-MAKE-> <-MODEL-> from <-DEALER NAME->, from the same guide.- Where templates live
- Your template management section, then New Template or Add Template; choose the Source button before you paste into the email body, per iPacket Help Center: How to set up your OpLogic integration.
This is a link you paste into your own templates, not a certified OpLogic integration, and OpLogic doesn't endorse it. Car Pages Pro shows your link with your dealer key filled in. Send a test to yourself before your team uses it.
Test it on a lead with a vehicle of interest
The guide's last step is a test on a lead that has a vehicle of interest, and it's the step that catches problems. Use a lead with your own email address, set its vehicle of interest to a car you've shot in CarShots, and send the template. The subject should name the car, and the link should open that car's Car Page. If the page says the car isn't available, either the vehicle of interest has no Car Page yet or the VIN field didn't fill in.
Send Car Page questions into OpLogic
With Car Pages Pro, every question a shopper sends from a Car Page can go to OpLogic as an email in ADF/XML, the format dealer CRMs read leads in. Get your store's ADF lead address from your OpLogic rep or administrator, and ask them to set CarShots as the lead source. Enter the address in your Car Pages Pro settings in CarShots, then send a test question from one of your pages.

</adf>How a BDC can use it
Template links suit a BDC well. Agents answer new leads in OpLogic with the Car Page template, and every shopper gets a page with the car's studio photos, its 15-second walkaround video, the window sticker, the model's recalls, a history link and the price with your fees. When a shopper asks a question on that page, it comes back to OpLogic as a lead.
Template links don't carry a shopper's name, so their visits count toward the car's views in CarShots without saying who opened them. For the shoppers your team is working closely, share the car from CarShots with the shopper's name. On Car Pages Pro, that personal link shows each visit with a hot score, and live alerts by email and text go to the rep's own phone.
What this isn't
Car Pages isn't a certified OpLogic integration, and OpLogic hasn't endorsed it. Nothing syncs between the two and there's no API: a link in your template goes out, and leads come back by email. The fields come from iPacket's public guide, so check them against your OpLogic account. There's more on what's on each Car Page, how it compares with iPacket, and pricing.
