Why a video works here
Customers approve work they can see. A short video of the worn brakes or the leak, with an explanation in plain words, answers "do I really need this?" before the call.
Sample script: service finding for a customer
- "Hi Ken, it's Paula from service. Here's what the tech found on your Camry."
- "These are your front brake pads. You can see there's very little left here."
- "We'd recommend replacing them today. I'll call you in a few minutes with the price, or hit call on this page."
Say it in your own words. Use the shopper's name in the first five seconds, and end with one clear next step.
Tips that make it land
- Show the part up close and hold steady for three seconds.
- Compare it with a new part if you have one.
- Say what happens if they wait, in plain words, without pressure.
Where the video goes
Service videos go on a video page of their own. CarShots Video messages has no repair estimates or payments; if you need approvals and payments in the same tool, see how TruVideo compares.
How to send it with CarShots
Record or upload
Hold the record button in your browser on a phone or computer, up to 2 minutes, or upload a clip you already shot. Uploads keep going on a weak signal, so the back of the lot is fine.
Pick where it lands
The video goes on a personal page for one shopper: a page with just the video, or on top of that car's Car Page with its studio photos, 360° walkaround video, window sticker, price, the model's recalls, a history report link and a lead form.
Send it your way
Text it from your own phone (it opens your messages app with the link, so there's no business texting registration), email it with a moving 3-second preview that opens the page, or copy the link anywhere.
See who watched
You see when the shopper opens it and how much they watched. They reply with the call, text and email buttons on the page, straight to you.
